Basketball Recap: Rock Hill Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mckinney North

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rock Hill). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the McKinney North Bulldogs 53-50. This was payback for the Blue Hawks, who suffered a 61-51 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, McKinney North had strong showings from Kaeler Impelman, who posted 19 points, and Preston Spolar, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 14 points. Spolar has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 46% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Ewans, who had five points and five assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Rock Hill and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for McKinney North, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Rock Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland at 1:30 p.m. on December 4. As for McKinney North, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wylie at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
