Volleyball Recap: Riverside-Durham Gets the Win + How To Watch

Riverside-Durham proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Felton Grove Galaxy 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since August 18th.

Riverside-Durham was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-11, 16-25, 13-25, 25-21, 15-7.

Nureen Khan had another great game (as she tends to do), getting 18 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Khan wasn't the only good servers: Riverside-Durham was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Riverside-Durham's record is now 10-5. As for Felton Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Looking ahead, Riverside-Durham will head out on the road to challenge Hillside at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Felton Grove, they will host Cardinal Gibbons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
