Softball Recap: Homestead Spartans vs. East Noble Knights

If Homestead was riding high off their 14-4 takedown of Southern Wells last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Homestead Spartans fell just short of the East Noble Knights by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. Homestead was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Noble apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Addie May Fleming spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. Those seven innings set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Homestead saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabelle Waldron, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
