San Gorgonio and Bloomington are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2023, but not for long. The Spartans will challenge the Bruins at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, San Gorgonio didn't have quite enough to beat Summit and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the SkyHawks: they've now lost seven in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, San Gorgonio sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Bloomington came up short against Summit on Friday and fell 3-1.

Bloomington started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-22.

Bloomington's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for San Gorgonio, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

San Gorgonio suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Bloomington in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
