Football Game Recap: Winnetonka vs. Platte County

Platte County took their contest against Winnetonka on Friday by a conclusive 45-20 score. Followers of Platte County probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

Platte County's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 35 first-half points. Winnetonka countered with 14 points, leaving the score at 35-14 going into the half. The Platte County defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the match. The victory was the 5th in a row for Platte County, as they raised their record to 7-1. Winnetonka are on a seven-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 1-7.

Platte County will take on Grandview at home at 7:00 PM next week. Unlike Platte County, Grandview will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Winnetonka, they will face off against Central.
