Jac-Cen-Del came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Waldron Mohawks with a sharp 3-0 victory. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Jac-Cen-Del not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Waldron between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 25-17.

Brynlie Simon paced Jac-Cen-Del's offense, picking up eight kills. Simon got some help from Brooklyn Simon and her 13 assists. Brooklyn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Jac-Cen-Del's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Waldron, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Jac-Cen-Del will head out on the road to square off against North Decatur at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waldron, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Greencastle on the 30th.
