Volleyball Recap: Crestview Comes Up Short

Crestview was the 3-2 winner over Marion Local when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Flyers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Crestview couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Marion Local a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 30-28.

Kaci Gregory paced Crestview's offense, picking up 11 kills. Gregory got some help from Nora Perkins and her 17 assists. Gregory was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Marion Local, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Crestview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Kalida on the 29th. As for Marion Local, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Coldwater on the 2nd.
