Recap: Victory Christian Lions vs. Ragland Purple Devils
In what's become a running theme this season, the Victory Christian Lions gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ragland 63-15 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-4.
Leading Victory Christian to victory were Amelia Haney and Haley Hendrix. Haney dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 steals, while Hendrix dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Hendrix is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 17 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Lee, who scored seven points along with five assists and four steals.
Victory Christian pushed their record up to 15-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Ragland, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Victory Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Appalachian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ragland, they will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
