Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Illini Central). They slipped by the Lutheran Crusaders 83-82 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars who have now won three contests in a row.

Illini Central pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Illini Central will venture away from home to face off against Mt. Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lutheran, they will be taking part in a tournament against Calvary at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
