Softball Recap: Eastlake Has No Trouble Against West Hills

After losing to West Hills the last time they met, Eastlake decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Titans put the hurt on the Wolf Pack with a sharp 10-3 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Camila Castillo looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mackenzie Olshenskie, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bri Ayap, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Eastlake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.

Eastlake's win bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for West Hills, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-5-1.

Eastlake didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-1 victory against Brawley on the 10th. As for West Hills, they have also already played their next game, a 5-3 defeat against Imperial on the 9th.
