Hilton Head Island came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Beaufort, but Jania Hayward wouldn't allow it. The Beaufort Eagles walked away with a 51-43 victory over the Hilton Head Island Seahawks on Tuesday thanks to Hayward, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points and seven steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Hilton Head Island lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Leah Elizabeth Ann Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Brockway, who posted four points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Beaufort has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Hilton Head Island, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Beaufort beat Hilton Head Island by a score of 50-44 on Thursday.
