Baseball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall fell victim to Mexico and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 back in April.

Marshall saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Kirchhoff, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Kirchhoff has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Marshall has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Mexico, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-11.

Coming up, Marshall will welcome Moberly at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mexico, they will venture away from home to face off against Lafayette at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
