Soccer Recap: Lafayette Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lafayette had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Pontotoc Warriors by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lafayette also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Lafayette now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Pontotoc, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 4-3 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lafayette will challenge rival New Hope at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pontotoc is set to face off against their familiar foe Columbus at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
