Baseball Game Preview: Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks vs. South O'Brien Wolverines

The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks will venture away from home to take on the South O'Brien Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Friday just wasn't the day for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's offense. They lost 17-0 to Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union on Friday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South O'Brien, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Trinity Christian 2-1 on Friday.

South O'Brien's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn couldn't quite get it done against South O'Brien when the teams last played back in June of 2024 as they fell 8-5. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
