Western Christian's loss ends six-game winning streak at home

After a string of six wins, the Western Christian Wolfpack's's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 75-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dakota Valley. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Thursday (64), Western Christian still had to take the loss.
Dakota Valley was led to victory by Luke Bruns and Jaxson Wingert. Bruns scored 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Wingert scored 26 points along with five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bruns has scored at least 25% of Dakota Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Collette, who scored 16 points.
Western Christian's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. As for Dakota Valley, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Western Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Sergeant Bluff-Luton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sergeant Bluff-Luton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Dakota Valley and Lakota Tech will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
