With a playoff win on the line, Smiths Station rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They slipped by the Bryant Hurricanes 19-18. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won nine games in a row.

Smiths Station's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooke Norred led the charge by throwing for 253 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Norred a new career-high in rushing yards (17). Lynzie Mounce was Norred's top target, picking up 112 receiving yards and one TD.

Smiths Station's record is now 13-3. As for Bryant, their loss dropped their record down to 13-2.
