Hamshire-Fannett came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Shepherd Pirates 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Longhorns have posted since February 22nd.

Jade Hill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olivia Moore, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Gallier, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

The victory got Hamshire-Fannett back to even at 15-15-2. As for Shepherd, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 22-7 record.

Coming up, Hamshire-Fannett will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tarkington at 6:00 p.m. Hamshire-Fannett is facing Tarkington at the right time seeing as Tarkington is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Shepherd, they will challenge Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
