Tomball Kings had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the First Baptist Christian Warriors get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-6 back in February.

Not much got past Carson Riippa, who gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks to keep First Baptist Christian off the board. Riippa has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Tomball Kings' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-14-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for First Baptist Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-1.

Coming up, Tomball Kings will face off against Northland Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for First Baptist Christian, they will square off against Alpha Omega Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
