Basketball Recap: Chapman Takes a Loss

Chapman lost against Marysville two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chapman Irish were outmatched by the Marysville Bulldogs and fell 61-34. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 143rd).

Chapman's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Marysville, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Coming up, Chapman will head out on the road to face off against Rock Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Creek will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Chapman surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marysville, they will challenge Wamego at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
