Kason Kesler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Milford got a massive performance out of Sadler Barnes, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Barnes has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyce Barnes, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Milford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Enterprise had just enough and edged out Kanab 2-1 on Friday.
Parker Staheli spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Enterprise saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Hiatt, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Enterprise's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Milford, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Milford has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .456. However, it's not like Enterprise struggles in that department as they've averaged .473. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
