League recap: Plough overpowering for Craftsbury Academy in past week

Mike Plough was the best pitcher in Freelance this week. He won zero games and struck out seven batters.

Craftsbury Academy's 4-game skid is the longest active losing streak in the league. The Chargers lost another three games last week, including a 29-6 defeat against Richford.

Craftsbury Academy's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 17 hits and 23 walks to lead the league in both categories. The Chargers have given up a mere 44 hits on the year in addition to compiling 26 strikeouts. Plough is the leader in that category with 15 Ks on the season.

Jason Martin had a multi-hit game on Wednesday, when he went 4-5 in Richford's 29-6 win against Craftsbury Academy.
