Softball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Takes a Loss

Palmyra-Eagle's last matchup with Whitewater could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Panthers lost 11-1 to the Whippets. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Whippets: they've now lost three in a row.

Palmyra-Eagle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Whitewater, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmyra-Eagle will take on Lake Mills at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitewater, they will face off against Delavan-Darien at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Comets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.59 runs per game on average), something the Whippets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
