Basketball Recap: Alcoa Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Alcoa won the last time they faced Gatlinburg-Pittman and things went their way on Friday too. The Alcoa Tornadoes came out on top against the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders by a score of 59-47. That's two games straight that the Tornadoes have won by exactly 12 points.

Despite the loss, Gatlinburg-Pittman still got an impressive performance from Maliyah Glasper, who went 9 of 20 en route to 24 points and three steals. Chloe Mejias was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Alcoa is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

Alcoa will challenge Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, they will welcome York Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. York Institute will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Gatlinburg-Pittman surely won't give up without a fight.
