Basketball Game Preview: Somerset Academy Panthers vs. Reagan Bison

The Somerset Academy Panthers will take on the Reagan Bison on Wednesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Somerset Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Mourning 79-37. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Reagan). They blew past Franklin Academy 89-63 on Monday. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Panthers are ranked 696th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Reagan is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Somerset Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-11.
