Larkin lost to Elgin back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Royals had just enough and edged out the Maroons 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Larkin who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 16-25, 26-24.

Larkin pushed their record up to 5-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Elgin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Larkin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Elmwood Park on the 16th. As for Elgin, they will face off against West Chicago at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
