Recap: Madisonville Mustangs vs. La Grange Leopards
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Madisonville Mustangs had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed by La Grange at home to the tune of 55-7. Considering Madisonville has won six contests by more than 25 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Madisonville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Williams, who rushed for 15 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 110 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Simpson, who rushed for 111 yards on only 11 carries.
Madisonville pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.3 points per game. As for La Grange, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Madisonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. La Grange also has no future games currently scheduled.
