Rigby and Thunder Ridge are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2023, but likely not for long. The Trojans will host the Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rigby has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rigby is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Hillcrest just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 23-11 to the Knights. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (ten), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Addison Cox was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Schofield, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Thunder Ridge faced Pocatello in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Titans had just enough and edged out the Thunder 4-2. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly two runs.

Thunder Ridge also got a great performance from Carly Jones as she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Jones has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chelsea Adams, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 matchups. Layla Carvajal also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Thunder Ridge and bumps their season record up to 7-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Rigby, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
