Sadly, the Sussex Central Golden Knights are still looking for their first win of the season after 15 matchups. They had to suffer through a rough 56-13 loss at the hands of Cape Henlopen. Sussex Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-10.
Cape Henlopen found their leader in underclassman Amalia Fruchtman, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Fruchtman is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last nine games she's played. Havyn Greene was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Sussex Central's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-15. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.5 points per game.
