Basketball Recap: Borden Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Borden lost against Orleans back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Borden Braves took a 51-34 bruising from the Orleans Bulldogs. The matchup marked the Braves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Nate Brown was the offensive standout of the contest as he made all 6 shots he took for 13 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Bryce Jones was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Borden's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for Orleans, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

The future could be bright for both Borden and Orleans: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Borden will look to extend Christian Academy's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Orleans will try to hand North Daviess their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
