Glenn owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Hays Hawks 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Grizzlies: when they faced off against the Hawks last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Glenn's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Anaya, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run marked the first that Anaya scored this season.

Glenn hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.

Glenn's victory bumped their record up to 6-11-3. As for Hays, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-7-1 record.

Looking ahead, Glenn is taking a road trip to take on Elgin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hays, they will venture away from home to square off against Seguin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Matadors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
