Volleyball Game Preview: Pocatello Thunder vs. Centennial Patriots

Pocatello hasn't had much luck against Centennial recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Thunder will square off against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Centennial took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pocatello, who comes in off a win.

Pocatello barely beat Century the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Thunder blew past the Diamondbacks 3-0 last Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

One reason for the win was Pocatello's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Centennial came up short against Mountain View on Thursday and fell 3-1.

Centennial couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Mountain View a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-30, 25-14, 25-21, 26-24.

Pocatello is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
