Basketball Game Preview: Loving Falcons vs. Jal Panthers

Loving is 1-9 against Jal since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Loving Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Jal Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Loving took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 64-56 victory over Tatum. The Falcons pushed the score to 52-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Coyotes cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Jal was able to grind out a solid win over Non Varsity Opponent on Tuesday, taking the game 64-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Jal has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Loving, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-11.

Loving came out on top in a nail-biter against Jal in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 41-39. Will Loving repeat their success, or does Jal have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
