Volleyball Recap: Gaston Christian Takes a Loss

The Gaston Christian Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Ambassador Christian School Lions on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Gaston Christian took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 15-25, 25-15, 15-8.

Piper Riley paced Gaston Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Riley got some help from Peyton Hunsucker and her 15 assists. Finally, Trinity Genteman kept Gaston Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Gaston Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Gaston Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Greensboro Day School at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ambassador Christian School, they will be taking part in a tournament against Branchville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
