Recap: Skyridge Falcons vs. Raymond (Alberta)
It was a good run, but the Skyridge Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 67-52 fall against Raymond (Alberta).
Skyridge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bella Sika, who scored 21 points, and Shae Toole who scored 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Toole hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Sadie Buttars was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Skyridge's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Raymond (Alberta), their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Skyridge's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Hopefully Mountain Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday. Raymond (Alberta) won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lehi at 11:00 a.m. on January 6th. Lehi is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
