Basketball Recap: Haddam-Killingworth Makes It Five in a Row at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Haddam-Killingworth took on Cromwell on Friday. The Haddam-Killingworth Cougars walked away with a 54-46 victory over the Cromwell Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-40 back in December of 2024.

Cromwell lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Peyton Kelleher, who posted 15 points and five boards. The game was Kelleher's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sadie Rau, who earned 12 points.

Haddam-Killingworth's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Cromwell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
