Valley Christian Academy and Fillmore squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Valley Christian Academy had to settle for second. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flashes. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Valley Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Fakoury, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Fakoury has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Valley Christian Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Fillmore, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-17.
