Basketball Recap: Prince RVT Comes Up Short

Prince RVT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 73-43 loss at the hands of the Windham RVT Mighty Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Mighty Tigers are ranked 48th).

When it comes to explaining why Prince RVT lost, don't look at Jordan Iverson. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 16 on his way to 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 48.8% of Prince RVT's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmanuel Ikeh, who earned seven points and three blocks.

Brady Marsh continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Windham RVT, putting up 31 points. Marsh's evening made it 19 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Colby Dunnack was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

Prince RVT's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Windham RVT, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Prince RVT Falcons challenge the Vinal RVT Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Vinal RVT's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Windham RVT, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Norwich RVT at 7:00 p.m.
