Preview: Rib Lake Redmen vs. Newman Fighting Cardinals
Rib Lake is 0-5 against the Fighting Cardinals since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rib Lake Redmen will head out on the road to square off against the Newman Fighting Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. Newman took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Rib Lake, who comes in off a win.
Last Monday, Rib Lake was fully in charge, breezing past the Screaming Eagles 67-13 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rib Lake.
Meanwhile, Newman suffered a rough 51-27 defeat at the hands of the Rockets on Monday.
Rib Lake's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Newman, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
Rib Lake suffered a grim 60-40 defeat to the Fighting Cardinals in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Rib Lake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
