Volleyball Recap: Beaver Island Comes Up Short

Beaver Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Mackinac Island Lakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Friday.

Beaver Island's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mackinac Island, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Beaver Island will host Burt Township at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mackinac Island has already played their next matchup (against Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
