It was a good run, but Frontier unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 48-34 bruising from the Marlington Dukes. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Frontier lost, don't look at True King. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. King is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games he's played. Austyn Kole Kephart was another key player, putting up six points and four steals.

Even though they lost, Frontier smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Marlington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Frontier will face off against Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Frontier is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season. As for Marlington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-46 win against Harrison Central on the 28th.
