Football Recap: P.K. Yonge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

P.K. Yonge had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it six. They were dealt a 49-12 defeat at the hands of the Trinity Catholic Celtics. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

As for Trinity Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 4-4. The matchup marked their most dominant win of the season.

Carter Schofield had a dynamite game, throwing for 250 yards and four TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushing for 50 yards and one touchdown. Those 250 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Noah Kaylor was another key player, picking up 103 receiving yards and one score.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. P.K. Yonge will square off against Impact Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blue Wave surely won't give up without a fight. As for Trinity Catholic, they will challenge Newberry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
