Basketball Recap: Vestavia Hills Comes Up Short

Vestavia Hills fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Huffman on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Huffman Vikings by a score of 70-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (61), the Rebels still had to take the loss.

Vestavia Hills has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-8 record this season. As for Huffman, their victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4.

Vestavia Hills will face off against Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Huffman, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairfield will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Huffman surely won't give up without a fight.
