You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Monticello's strategy against St. Thomas More on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Monticello Sages blew the St. Thomas More Sabers out of the water with a 45-15 final score. The Sages have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Megan Allen, who went 6-for-12 en route to 13 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Cresap, who put up five points and three steals.

Monticello smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups.

Monticello is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 20 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for St. Thomas More, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-21.

Monticello wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 44-40 victory against Tolono Unity on the 10th. As for St. Thomas More, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-26 loss against Pontiac on the 10th.
