Baseball Recap: Ocosta Takes a Loss

Ocosta fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Wahkiakum on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mules by a score of 7-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mules this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-4 loss last Friday.

Ocosta has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Wahkiakum, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Ocosta will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. As for Wahkiakum, they will head out to take on Rainier at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mules will need to watch out since the Mountaineers have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups.
