Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

If Winside wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bloomfield, they should've done a better job of containing Madyson Mlady. Everything went the Bloomfield Bees' way against the Winside Wildcats on Monday as the Bloomfield Bees made off with a 53-31 win thanks in part to Mlady, who went 9 of 15 on her way to 20 points along with six boards and six steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bloomfield's points.

Another player making a difference was Peyton Eisenhauer, who went 6 for 11 en route to 13 points. Those 13 points gave her a new career-high.

Winside's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hadleigh Schutt, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Sellin, who earned four points and six boards.

Bloomfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Winside, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Bloomfield has already played their next matchup, a 35-32 victory against Wynot on the 6th. As for Winside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-38 defeat against Osmond on the 6th.
