Volleyball Recap: Cokeville Panthers vs. Fort Washakie Eagles

Cokeville's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Fort Washakie Eagles. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

The victory didn't come easy: Fort Washakie scored at least 16 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-14.

Layla Brodt paced Cokeville's offense, picking up ten kills. Brodt got some help from Ainslie Himmerich and her 17 assists. Brodt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Cokeville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for Fort Washakie, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

After both having extra time off, Cokeville and Dubois will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Washakie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
