Basketball Recap: San Marcos Snags 11th Victory in Last 12 Games

On Saturday, the San Marcos Royals didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the San Marino Titans, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Titans are ranked 308th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

San Marcos has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for San Marino, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.

San Marcos will take on Rio Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Rio Mesa's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for San Marino, they will square off against South Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
