Volleyball Recap: Gautier Gators vs. Presbyterian Christian Bobcats
Gautier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.
Gautier may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.
Presbyterian Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lylah Menefee, who had 22 kills, five digs, and one block. Those 22 kills gave Menefee a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Jordan, who had 36 assists and five digs.
Gautier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Presbyterian Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.
Looking ahead, Gautier will challenge Petal at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Presbyterian Christian, they will host St. Patrick at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
