Soccer Recap: Palma Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Palma Chieftains didn't have quite enough to beat the Watsonville Wildcatz and fell 4-3. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Chieftains came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Wildcatz are ranked 672nd).

Palma's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Watsonville, the win got them back to even at 2-2-5.

Palma will be playing at home against Rancho San Juan at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Watsonville, they will venture away from home to challenge Salinas at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
