Volleyball Recap: Franklin Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Hazel Rehm and Allie Soboinski

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Mukwonago Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sabers of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Franklin's loss came despite strong showings from Allie Soboinski and Hazel Rehm. Soboinski had 15 assists and three digs, while Rehm had two aces. Soboinski is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Mukwonago's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Erin Mierow, who had ten digs.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Mukwonago, they moved to 6-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Franklin has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Slinger on the 20th. As for Mukwonago, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Xavier on the 20th.
